5 sessions. Each one to one session is an hour and a half. The first session will be getting to know you and your dog in your own home & local environment and introducing the Reactivity Zones Approach™.
The next 4 sessions build on the Reactivity Zones Approach™ outside. Sessions will be tailored to realistic timescales such as fortnightly or monthly to allow you sufficient time to implement the training and help your dog with their unique coping skills and learning speed.
Whilst I have been assisting reactive dogs for many years already, instead of using traditional training methods known as desensitisation or counter conditioning my Reactivity Bundle uses the brand new Reactivity Zones Approach™ helping the dog and guardian team in a force free manner to build on genuine comfort and resilience.
(The Reactivity Zones Approach ™ - formulated by the Victoria Stilwell Academy, through whom I am an Accredited Dog Trainer (In Person, With Distinction)).
Reacting to things going on around them is perfectly normal but for some dogs their reactions can seem 'extreme' to us, causing us embarrassment or indeed fear of taking our dog out for exercise.
My Reactivity Bundle is for dogs who are fit and healthy but struggle to cope sometimes in the big wide world when things suddenly appear or get too close to them.
They might show us they are struggling by barking and / or lunging at other dogs or passers by.
They might show their discomfort by cowering, trying to hide or attempting to run away.
My Reactivity Bundle is also perfect for rescued or rehomed dogs who have been in their new home for more than 3 weeks and are just starting the journey of exploring their new outside world.
It is also very suitable for hypersocial (over friendly) dogs who want to greet all other dogs, humans and animals when out and about but their enthusiastic greetings are probably not reciprocated.
This is not for dogs who have already exceeded any coping skills and use severe aggression to request things they are very uncomfortable with to go away. In these instances I would refer you to my preferred Canine Behaviourist, Animal Behaviour Kent.
It is also not for dogs who are chasing cars, bicycles etc, have a high prey drive or are reactive on car journeys as these are different emotions.
Dogs who are currently experiencing pain or discomfort in any part of their body are also excluded until Veterinary permission is granted.
